Name: Candidates on Rural Issues
Date: October 6, 2018
Time: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM CDT
Event Description:
The Progressive Rural Iowa Development Enterprise/P.R.I.D.E. economic & community development organization for Cass County, is hosting an event for all candidates - local to federal - Saturday, October 6, at the Marne Community Center, 403 Washington St., in Marne, eight miles northwest of Atlantic. As always, open to the public., this year's event continues P.R.I.D.E.'s non-partisan legislative engagement emphasis, held for 12 years. The subject of the 90-minute discussion with candidates is, "What are you doing/have you done/do you plan to accomplish for Rural Iowa, if elected?" Please keep in mind this is an open discussion, not a presentation, per P.R.I.D.E.'s history and format. The room will be set up in a large circle, where everyone is seated together. All are equal citizens seeking the common good of all. P.R.I.D.E. events are known for their robust attendance and rich discussion. We anticipate an excellent, informative event and welcome your interaction with candidates able to be present.
