DESCRIPTION:Scrooge Contest\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNovember 1 - November 24\n\n\n\n\n\nFour community members have been chosen to participate as Scrooge Contestants to raise money & collect non-perishable food items for the Atlantic Food Pantry. The contest runs from November 1st through November 24th. The winner will be Grand Marshall of the Lighted Christmas Parade on December 5th.\n\n2026 Scrooge Candidates:\n\n(Pictured Left to Right)\n\nSteele McLaren\n\n    (Lindeman Tractor and Atlantic Fire Department)\n\nMatt Gross\n\n    (Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company)\n\nMike McDermott\n\n    (History Teacher and City Councilman)\n\nCaitlin Eilderts\n\n    (Merchant's Guild and Grinnin Bear Tattoo)\n\nPoints System: Cash donations are worth 5 points on the dollar and one non-perishable item earns the contestants one point. Checks can be made out to "Atlantic Food Pantry".\n\nThe Atlantic Food Pantry is asking for a specific list of food items\, with a focus on monetary donations due to limited storage space. The money will help them purchase food items as needed\, including meat and refrigerated items.\n\nAtlantic Food Pantry Donated Food Suggestions:\n\n(Please consider purchasing "pop top" canned goods as some recipients do not have access to can openers)\n\n\n	canned soup (chicken noodle\, tomato\, cream of chicken\, cream of mushroom\, vegetable beef\, .)\n	ramen noodles (chicken or beef)\n	cereal (boxes)\n	Jiffy corn muffin mix\n	hamburger helper\n	instant sides (packages)- pasta\, sauce\, potatoes\n	tuna or chicken (canned)\n	peanut butter\n	canned fruit (peaches\, pears\, applesauce\, cocktail)\n	canned vegetables (beans\, corn\, peas\,  )\n	beef ravioli or SpaghettiOs\n	crackers (saltine)\n	boxed macaroni and cheese\n	"quick" oats (no milk needed)\n	"complete" pancake & waffle mix (no milk)\n	pancake/waffle syrup\n	spaghetti and pasta sauce\n	Manwich or Sloppy Joe cans\n	chili beans\n	diced tomatoes\n\n\n\nThank you to our sponsors:
