Event Description:
Women have played important roles n the railroad industry wince the 1840’s. Their jobs included repairing tracks during the World Wars to now holding high corporate positions. Dr. Rudy Daniels will tell their stories on Sunday, September 18, 2 pm at the American Legion Memorial Building, 201 Poplar Street in Atlantic. Rudy is an internationally known railroad expert. He has presented programs on several other topics for ARISE. Attendees have requested his return. The topic for Sunday is SHE’S BEEN WORKING ON THE RAILROAD. There is no fee. Everyone is welcome. The program is sponsored by Atlantic Rock Island Society Enterprise (ARISE) and supported by Atlantic Community Promotion Commission.
