Regular Route Driver

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the bus or district vehicle is safe and roadworthy before and after each route.
Safely transport students on assigned morning and afternoon routes while adhering to all traffic laws, district policies, and established schedules.
Maintain accurate daily documentation, including mileage logs, route sheets, student counts, inspection reports, and other required transportation records.
Fuel assigned vehicle as needed and monitor fluid levels, reporting maintenance concerns or mechanical issues promptly to the transportation department.
Park and secure the vehicle in its designated location at the transportation facility following each route or assignment.
Establish and maintain positive, respectful relationships with students while promoting appropriate behavior and ensuring a safe, orderly environment during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route delays, student concerns, road conditions, accidents, vehicle issues, or emergency situations.
Assist with loading and unloading students, ensuring safe boarding procedures and proper use of safety equipment when applicable.
Perform activity, athletic, and field trip transportation as assigned, maintaining the same high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Follow district emergency procedures and respond appropriately to accidents, medical emergencies, severe weather, or other unforeseen events.
Maintain confidentiality regarding students and district operations in accordance with district policies and applicable laws.
Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to meet changing transportation needs and route assignments.
Desired Qualifications
CDL Class B (Within 1 month of hire)
Current Drivers license
High School Diploma
